Organized in partnership with the Institut national d'histoire d'art and under the aegis of the French Ministry of Culture, the Festival de l'histoire de l'art is a not-to-be-missed three-day event that takes place every year from June 5 to 7, 2026, at the Château de Fontainebleau and the surrounding area.

The 15th edition of the Festival puts the spotlight on Morocco, the first guest country from the African continent and the Arab world, and celebrates the theme of Fashion through 300 free, open-access events, offering an unprecedented look at artistic creations, influences and exchanges through the ages.

On the program: concerts, readings, guided tours, conferences, debates, book presentations, round tables, film screenings and fun activities for families and children. The ideal opportunity to discover, learn about and share art and its history in an exceptional setting.

For the duration of the Festival, access to the Château de Fontainebleau is entirely free, allowing everyone to take full advantage of this unique event!
