The Château de Fontainebleau has always resonated with music. In addition to the occasional music that punctuated the daily life of the sovereigns, there were many new creations.

Under the gold and vaulted ceilings of the Château de Fontainebleau, conductor Thomas Hengelbrock and his Ensembles Balthasar Neumann bring this jewel of history to life, with flamboyant concerts, rehearsals open to the public, meetings with artists, youth projects and solidarity initiatives...

Here, music isn't just played: it's lived, shared and enlightened. In this royal setting, every note becomes an echo of past splendors, every silence a promise of pure emotion.

Thomas Hengelbrock and the Balthasar Neumann ensembles return in May to present a Festa Théâtrale program: works by Monteverdi, Rossi, Legrenzi and Lassus.
