      What's included in this full day : private transportation from Paris Porte d'Orléans to Barbizon, private guided tour of the village, entrance tickets to the painters museum - Auberge Ganne and the workshop of Jean-François Millet.

      Your private chauffeur will meet you at Paris Porte d'Orléans, and take you to the village of Barbizon.

      Located right in the heart of the Fontainebleau forest, Barbizon was the place where famous landscape painters from the 19th Century lived and got inspired : Théodore Rousseau, Jean-Baptiste Corot, Charles-François Daubigny and also Jean-François Millet. The "School of Barbizon" was an important art movement, that eventually led to the impressionnist era. From 1830 to 1875, artists and painters came to Barbizon to enjoy its wonderful nature.

      When you'll arrive in the village, your private tour guide will tell you all about its rich local history and its links to the Fontainebleau forest - which is part of the UNESCO Biosphere World Reserve.

      After that, you will be able to visit by yourself the two museums : Auberge Ganne and workshop of Jean-François Millet.

      At the end of the day, enjoy a nice walk through the paved streets and don't be afraid to enter the small galleries and local shops !
