During a two-hour walk over the forest paths with a guide you will discover a protected ecosystem comprising rock shapes, white sand, mountain landscapes and marked tracks.

The forest, which was a royal hunting domain, is a natural reserve of 22 000 hectares with exceptional fauna and flora: it is a home for 6 600 animal species and 5 700 plants` varieties.

The changing colors of the forest have become a source of inspiration for the great painters of 19th century: Millet, Renoir, Rousseau were fascinated by the landscapes of Fontainebleau.

Our guides work with Fontainebleau Tourisme to implement sanitary measures into the touristic activities in order to guarantee the required level of safety during the leisure time.

Thus, barrier gestures, social distancing and the wearing of masks will be required for the protection of everyone and the well-being of all.

A tip: It is allowed to picnic in the forest. We would recommend you to order a picnic set.
