Bérangère Ceramics

Guided by the idea of beauty in everyday life, I strive to create functional or decorative porcelain, in small series or one-off pieces, with pure shapes and soft, attractive surfaces, sometimes combining it with another noble material such as wood.

Settled in Samois since 2013, I'm lucky to have a workshop where it's good to work and socialize, in the heart of a village of character between the forest and the Seine, 1 hour south of Paris.

Guided by the idea and pleasure of beauty in everyday life, I strive to create porcelain pieces for everyday use. Functional or decorative, in small series or one-offs, my porcelains have clean, simple shapes, soft, attractive surfaces and are sometimes enhanced with dry wood branches harvested in the Fontainebleau national forest.

My preferred tool is the potter's wheel, but I also model for the creation of houses, for example. The pieces are fired in a high-temperature electric kiln, with a single pass through the kiln.

My creations are available for sale locally in my workshop, as well as at the Caravane des Arts in Moret, in the boutiques of Ateliers d'Arts de France and others in France and abroad.
