This international jazz festival owes its name to Django Reinhardt, the most famous of gypsy jazz musicians, who settled in Samois-sur-Seine in 1951, a small commune in the Fontainebleau region where the event was created in 1983.
Since then, the great names of jazz have gathered in the park of the Château de Fontainebleau at the beginning of summer for this festival in the heart of a royal setting.
Without further ado, we unveil the first artists of this next edition:
-The rare and mythical band from Austin, Texas: the Black Pumas
-The Franco-Malian quartet Sissoko Segal /Parisien/Peirani "Les Egarés".
- Manouche poet Angelo Debarre in his creation: "Manoir de Mes rêves".
-The new soul genius: Jalen Ngonda
-One of the most prominent double bassists on the new American jazz scene:
Endea Owens
Detailed program to follow.
